The standard "Hydraulic Analysis" includes:

1. Viscosity, measured at 40 deg C in Centistokes (cSt which is the standard measurement used in industry).
2. Water content in p.p.m.
3. Water content, percentage (by ASTM D4007) for high water contents.
4. Total Acid Number (ASTM D974).
5. I.S.O. Particle Count (High power microscopic method).
6. Specific Gravity @ 15 deg C (where specified).
7. Quench Speed (GM Quenchometer where applicable).
8. Pour Point, Deg C (where applicable).
9. Chlorine % wt. (where applicable).
10. Total and Active Sulphur % wt. (where applicable).
11. Elemental analysis in p.p.m. for the following elements:

Comments will be added comparing the overall quality of your oil to accepted industry cleanliness and additive standards. For example:

• "Additive levels are reduced to approximately 50% of normal for this class of oil. We recommend that the oil be repurified and addtives restored to normal levels. Continued use of this oil may put your equipment at risk of high pump wear" or
• "Oil cleanliness is 20 times dirtier than industry standards. High component wear or varnishing is possible. We recommend that you reclaim, purify or change out this oil" or
• "Oil cleanliness and additive levels are at acceptable levels, continued use of this product is recommended".
